We bought it during Covid when used car prices were more than new so got her a new one. They are actually giving us more than we paid. But Toyota had discontinued this model in 2023 and finding a same year or even newer is hard to do, or too expensive. So may be looking at different brand, but again, new is cheaper than used… so not sure what we are looking at yet.No fun.With prices today they better pay good for that car!

Make sure they pay what the actual value is. A lot of times they will under value your car. You have the right and ability to question thier total value of the vehicle and the method they used to determine it. Find comparables for sale with similar options, miles and year. Use that if you need to to prove the value is higher. Insurance companies will try to keep as much of their money as they can and if they can pass an undervalued car and pay you less they will try. all covered by ins if i do out patient if all so end of story will be home for 7 treatment never a night in hosptal

I know our rates will be going up. Even though it was not her fault we are having our insurance deal with his so we don’t have the stress of that mess. So our insurance is paying us they will get reimbursed from his. We get paid faster by doing it this way. She is on our insurance policy since she is still in college but she has a reckless driving ticket on her. Two weeks after she got the car she was going 40 miles over speed limit. And cop gave her a reckless driving ticket
So once we buy the new car I’m sure they will run her record again and we will be dinged big time. Not looking forward to that bill! Although she has since learned her lesson!!
