So hard water stains are actually etched in the glass. I would try scraping as much Coraline or other stuff that's on top of the glass, then rinsing and try buffing. If you don't want to order, try getting a headlight restoration kit, (harbor freight, Walmart, or any auto parts store) comes with small buff pads that work with a drill, and it'll come with compound and likely sandpaper too, but I wouldn't use the sandpaper, that'll make buffing take a lot longer. Usually can find these kits under 20$. If you see improvement then you can get a bigger size buffer or more compound, but the small kit will let you see if you get anywhere first.

I bought a huge variety of pads and such when I buffed my small acrylic tank. Love them.

And yes, they do bring back dull and faded headlights. I do this all the time to customer cars, even before they made handy dandy kits.

This is the kit I ordered, but I bought compound separate. Any car buffing compound should work, or use novus for acrylic. Buffing compound does come in different grit, like sandpaper, so you might need more than one type, extra cut is coarser and fine would be for finishing. I've been buffing fresh painted and existing painted cars for 20 years, so I can definitely guide you. Glass is much more forgiving than a fresh painted panel.

looks good. I am not a fan of textured walls or ceilings. My places are always smooth drywall...
Nice to see you back friend! How many cups of coffee already? :D I didn’t have coffee this morning, had hot cocoa

There is a cleaning vinegar. The acid is higher than normal vinegar. If you attempt that. Regular vinegar is 5% acid, while cleaning is 6%. Yes, that 1% matters. Sorry, this job is a lot of elbow grease. Anything that wont scratch glass, means more work.

A lot of the times...
Is it still hazy with water in it?
When filled with water and cleaned on a regular basis, this stuff does break down as well. I have had nasty water lines on all my tanks that lacked a sump.

Told you, I'm glad I don't have to clean that beast.

Looking for a glass scraper to replace the flipper. The price of these blades is stupid!
