Yeah, except you know I maintain mine at close to 1500.Everytime I dose magnesium my coralline makes lots of babies.

Yep. And I maintain mine at 1280.Yeah, except you know I maintain mine at close to 1500.
So you're saying less is more?Yep. And I maintain mine at 1280.
The more magnesium the better IMO. 1500+ is best for Lps as it makes them puffy though around 1800+ inverts are affected.Yeah, except you know I maintain mine at close to 1500.
Yep. And I maintain mine at 1280.
IME more is better for MagSo you're saying less is more?
I’ve found the corals that love it most are Euphyllia, Acans, Austrolos, Scolys, and Candycanes. That explains why my torches look like bowls of spaghetti.
You can add Indophyllia to that list too. My indy gets fat.I’ve found the corals that love it most are Euphyllia, Acans, Austrolos, Scolys, and Candycanes.
Who says I have toes? No room if you have 20 fingers.Must be hard to find gloves and shoes that way.
Well, if it's a choice between spotty coralline and obscene euphyllia growth....I dumped a bottle of magnesium into my tank and it went from 1280 to 1295 back to 1280 in a week. I think coralline eats magnesium if it's low. Higher magnesium may limit coralline growth? Hmmm...
Where did you find my picture? I am so careful not to let them go public! Hahaha!
Of course you know this makes hand labor projects very speedy! Back to work now!
I have also never tested mag. I bought the Hanna Mag tester when It was released but the reviews of inconsistency were so bad because the bad reagent they were using. I never opened mine. I did buy the updated reagent kit, and still haven't opened either box...Never tested mag , ever, 16 oz bottle liquid ,dump a lil about once every 10 days , same w iodide
bottles last 6-7 mo ,no water changes ,avg 300 gal systems, imagine on the low end ??
Coralline has never been an issue w NOT growing...
So my theory may be truth... Hmmm.Never tested mag , ever, 16 oz bottle liquid ,dump a lil about once every 10 days , same w iodide

How's your coralline?
jus sayin'
those spikes are not from dosing... I anticipate its test kit inaccuracies.
