I hate now that the first thing I check for when I wake up is fish flopping on the floor.

Not today. Thankfully. And Mrs clown seems ok still. Her tail fin was tattered a little at the edge and her side racing stripe was still there but she was a little more active yesterday.

If you have a little bit of flake food, that may "force" him to come out with you by the tank.

You may want to do this anyways, as eventually the fish will associate you with food, and that literally is the top layer of fish behavior processing. Everything trains downward from there.

how do you like the hydros system. i love my old school icecaps with the wifi controller but ive had a couple go down and cant find any replacements so im afraid i will need to convert to the new controller and new wave makers. i dont see many for sale so either people arent buying them or they are holding on to them and not reselling them.

would also be open to any other brands that people like. i need full functionality and programming and it has to be idiot proof...

UNLESS you want the ability to take pictures by your tank, without the fish swarming you.

I literally have to throw mysis pellets into the other end of the tank if I want to take some pictures... Bunch of beggars!

I like my Reefwave45. The interface is simple. I havent messed with it since I set it up. unplug it when i want smooth water. hmm. so don't listen to me actually. I've spend next to no time setting/configuring it.

I've got two 25's and one 45.

I have had some issues of losing connectivity on the 45 though.

I mainly just use them to automate and monitor, If there are corrections to be made, I'd rather do this myself until they come out with a ChatGPT style controller that can use logic to make changes correctly.

They are brilliant, I have a cleaner that resides on the overhang of a cave, he hangs from the top and the fish swim through one at a time like a little car wash getting cleaned lol

So in this tank with the cleaner shrimp, I've only really seen him successfully clean a fish like once. But I'm my Evo I have a cleaner neon goby, and he cleans all the fish regularly. They enjoy it.

no Crustacean touches Timmy! he dispatched with my Cleaner shrimp in short order.
2 cleaner Goby though and they're quite busy.

If fish are asking for a cleaning, something might be up. I mean, begging. A lot of the times though, fish go in for gill and teeth work. It's pretty entertaining to watch the shrimp work.
