The LFS I go to has a tomini with a powder brown and they are inseparable. Both are between 5-7 years old and have been together for a few years. That's what I've been judging my choice off of, which sounds like they usually don't behave as well as I'm seeing at the store. But so purty.

Thanks all for all the recommendations!!

Tomini tang was one on my list, although the only thing on my list. Lol.

I do like the fox face, would it chill ok with the tomini?

My 6 line, so far, has been a great addition. Doesn't bother any fish. Peacefully swims about doing it's own thing. Hopefully it continues to be a good citizen after I add fish.

No one mentioned the firefish, are those too delicate for my current crew? Love the purple variety.

For fish I was just hoping to see them. Any fish that would swim around. So far the only fish I really see is the clowns and the 6 line. The other fish either hide all day or just poke out every now and then.

Yes I am culturing pods, tig variety, so I knew I had enough for for the mandarin since I originally got it in the smaller tank. Definitely will be adding more in since now so much rock is new.
Mine took about 3 hours and one quick jab of the spines and now they're cool...

Springeri Damselfish are "gentle" for Damselfish but they're not at all timid. Springeri Dottybacks as well. Both add a cool splash of black and blue.

I've never had luck with firefish not disappearing or jumping. They look when they're around and then one day they're gone

Ruby Red Dragonette if you can find a male since you're culturing pods?

What about an algae blenny of some variety? Lawnmower, Black Sailfin (can eat SPS), Starry (can be jerks), Sailfin, or Tailspot? They're always fun to watch. The Tomini will likely bully the Lawnmower or Sailfin and it'll stay mostly hidden but a Starry is just enough of a jerk it'll still come out. The Tomini will help keep it in line.

Canary Blenny, Striped Fang Blenny, Vampire Blenny - something in the fanged Blenny family are another cool one. Mine's always out swimming.

Hector's Goby or Court Jester - sand sifter AND hair algae eater...

Twin Spot or YWG...

I'd argue that Tangs are territorial in their eggs, and I'd only be half joking.
I read from a couple of experts on these forums that tangs are not territorial. I just wanted to tell them they are full of BULL BILE!
bad quality video, but overall. Very entertaining and beautiful fish!

I've got the yellow watchman goby paired with pistol, had them 2 years. He's huge now. Also have the tailspot blenny already.

They just don't appear that often. I was going for more free swimming fish so I can see activity. But I do love those fish.

Did try a court jester goby for my small tank, but he wasted away and by the time I caught him to add to the large tank it was too late. I'm thinking not enough forage for him the first time. Maybe I'll try again, it was a pretty fish.

I do like the activity of the damsels but hear so many terror stories I've stayed away.

I know what it's like to butt heads with "experts". I'll just laugh for now. Tangs are jurks!
Corals are in, done dipping.. I am pretty sure the frag I bought is elongata. But, I am worried about the butchering it went through.

I'd get a flame hawkfish. once they figure out where the food comes from they're like dogs... they come begging at the front glass. they're oddballs that lounge around in peculiar places and they're bright so you'll see them.

Be careful adding a Halichoeres Wrasse with the Pistol - he might become a snack.

My Hector's was my first Algae eater in the 75. He was always active and healthy. He's now doing great in the 125.

Not sure how or why but this doesn't seem to apply to the majority of Springeris. I have two and they're always out. My Cardinalfish seem more aggressive.

Also, Springeri are supposed to be excellent flatworm and nudibranch predators.

Personally I’d go for the Atlantic Longnose ;)

Definitely love the color of the springeri damsels! I'll inquire on those at the store today. How many of those usually? A group of just a pair?

I'm planning on calling or showing up to my store around 3pm, by then they should have all new orders unpacked. I don't remember seeing the damsels before but can be ordered for me no problem.

WOO HOO!!!! So it turns out I can't do a Glass Cages build, because while I have money, apparently I don't have Glasscages money.

So I was digging around, and a buddy told me Reef Geeks in Chicago was getting rid of two of their grow out setups... low and behold, they are. 1200 for 8' of tank, pumps, stands, and a whole bunch of other goodies.

After I get outta work, that's the first place I go.

Sounds like a, “He shoots and he SCORES!” Happy for you, Ed.
Have love when these deals pop up and you are one of the first ones to hear about it. Seems like I always am a day late and a dollar short. However, I’m lucky in love so I’ll take it!
