Let me know if they still have the trout aquarium running in the restaurant? I was given a free trip to the Stanley to consult on the reset when they moved it from The Elkhorn Resort in Sun Valley. Built that tank years ago for the company. They had Elk on the menu and I highly recommend it.

Fun trip and beautiful area! I have pictures of the original build probably 20 years ago before I delivered it. Seems like it was 8'×3'x 2.5" 1" thick with black ends. Included the chiller and life support system with a trickle filter.

That would be cool! Not sure it is still there after all these years. Those displays are often short lived once they wake up to the maintenance requirements. It was set up to hold some local Golden Trout until the pond they lived in was rebuilt. I guess they were some sort of biological rarity from this particular mountain area.

So now a days its all about rainbow cut throat and brown in this area with all the hatchery this way. The golden is a beautiful trout so I hope they still have em around....
