I’ve heard that happens a lot. I’ve got a pair of Bimac’s and waiting on another 4 females to be shipped in a couple of weeks. I’ve been told the lyretail fair better in groups as well as the Bimac’s.

I have no idea but seems like one persons good accomplishment with them is another persons disaster...

Mrs 1 ocean did not like them cause they were orange and they remined her of gold fish at the fair. so if we get more they will be purple or yellow ones....

There is that issue. So 1 anthias. I guess mux in some wrasses... sigh...

I hope you get great success. I've kept 3 bimacs together for 2 years. They didnt kill each other. I jyst cant recall if they died to my heater breaking, or if the starfish ate them... green brittlestar ate a lot of my fish before i figured out what was happening to them.

green brittlestar ate a lot of my fish before i figured out what was happening to them.

That’s the reason I don’t keep any brittlestars. I know some are safe but not taking chances with some of the more expensive fish I keep.

You got other safer options. Lots and plenty of snail, tuxedo urchins. Shrimp are probably expensive snacks...

I think i have 1 branch of miyagi i can save. Thats it. 1.. new windows for upstairs being installed late spring. I'm prepared. This isn't happening again.

Oh yeah!! I learned that the hard way. Added a couple of skunk cleaner shrimp and my green coris wrasse eat them both by the end of the day

My angelfish did the same when I added a SCS. Was around 3” and I added it at night too but that didn’t help. In the morning found the remnants of the shrimp inside the angels cave, and the angelfish a little chunky…..

I had 5 lyretail anthias, (one male 4 females) in over a year they killed each other off, no only have one...just sharing my adventure

Was that in the big 300?

Yep sort of. Got the old system to storage first thing this morning then blew one of those pre formed hoses in my car. So spent the last 4 hours fixing car. Throttle body heater inlet hose... 1 shop out of 9 in town luckily had the part.
Sump build will be tomorrow. I'll get light mounts hung on wall today hopefully though.
