You got that sand free bedding don;t you? You do have an option of coral banded shrimps, arrow crabs... But they have problems of their own.
I did tuck an arrow crab down in the sump.

I don't mind the bristles but obviously they are smelling blood in the water. It seems. Up to the clam to win.

Love my arrow crab. Cool little alien to watch
They will tear a bristleworm population apart. I dunno if they do well with clams. I am sure coralbanded shrimp will eat clams. Reefen is tough :(

Heard that there's only so many silver bullets. The b nudis for aptasia.
Because a cbb may eat coral you don't want it too. If this is in a 200g aquarium and no nems or large meaty coral. why not try a cbb? Also, my cbb eats bristle worms. I wonder if it's a natural choice?

Edit: might eat clams... several reefers have cbb's with clams and they have never bothered them. 100% sure mine will eat clams.

There's a lot of reports of the coral band shrimp being murderous monsters. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't experience such an aggressive shrimp. They will rip things apart as they see fit. I guess that can go for any shrimp/crab things with jaws and claws.
Everything we get, we need a plan if things go south.

I have 5 nems, clam, and some meaty lps:)

Would for sure be a risk. But some folks have success.

Understood. I am sure my cbb was the reason for the cynarinas health decline. It's a sad loss. But, cbb is not leaving my tank. I keep watching for signs she goes for the trachy. Trachy will get a new home if she moves in. But, for bristle worm control, you'll now need to trap them.

Once I have a tank set up for the purpose, I intend to grow Philips for my butterflyfish as well!
I seriously don't want to think my cbb is the reason my bta is not showing growth. But, one can never know. My eyes are not glued to my tank 24/7. She has munched on the cynarina at night. Oh well.

One piece of my ocean live rock that I picked for my Work Desk 40B system was chosen because it had a small lightbulb anemone on it that I liked... only to make the mistake of adding it to that system that also contained a threadfin butterflyfish.
Needless to say, the anemone disappeared shortly after introduction and the butterfly had a delicious meal.

I had gotten several bulb anemones. CBB found every one of them. She's a nem monster.
