I'm currently running 3 on my setup. posted my par values here.
those were the mid-to-low swings - but values were easily going 1/2 again as much with the shimmer (I shoulda done a round with the return and wavemakers off...)

Nice. I'll be mounting them in an Aquatic life T5 hybrid fixture, so probably won't run them at full bore. I'll have to play around with the settings but may ask you guys some questions.

I can see where the high light might come in....

I lowered everything from an inch below the waterline to 6 inches below the waterline...

We'll see if things don't come back in line now.

They're 15" off the water with 2 ATI 54W 48” T5 Blue Plus bulbs (DIY reflectors). running the LPS/SPS setting.

I want to take some responsibility for asking for an intern, clearly someone always needs to mess up a fun joke. It’s not right to hijack a thread even more so one like Frank’s. I’m not one to flame but I strongly disliked the attitude that was showed here @Reeflix . Like @F i s h y stated let’s get back to reefing dang it. Move on and leave all this playing intern crap behind. Frank must be respected. I’m sorry Frank that this happened on your thread. After this I don’t feel comfortable at all. Out of curiosity, not sure of @Projects with Sam or @Lost in the Sauce can help out but if I were to go RB would one panel or two panels be better? Not sure how much PAR one gives out need to do some research. Frank, if you were to raise pH would you raise it via a liquid solution or let it raise via constant WC with higher concentrated amounts?

I've had this issue... to high of light at alk above 8.5... the growth of the coral just can't keep up... skeleton builds but flesh is just not able to keep up

So, Dial back the light, or the alk, or both, or add flesh building components like amino acids and feed?

I've had to do all of the above. I cut light, kept alk at 8.5 and did additional dosing of Reef AB+ and phyto... seemed to rein it in. I have a couple of coral that I can't move that it still happens to. But they seem to be adapting slowly.

Frank have a good night buddy ill be back with updates tomorrow cant wait to get these new lights rolling going to slowly ramp up and see where everything likes it look for trouble signs and take it slow dialing it in. We all have things to add and offer... id like to believe that all of you have more to offer than the "nonsense" that has been posted.
