If packed right it should be fine. Since they are air breathers the most important thing is the air. I’ve bagged many bettas (Wild and domestic strains) one third water to two thirds air and enough to keep fishy submerged in any position of the bag

For what it’s worth when I was showing there was a box of show fish that had gotten lost in transit. The fish was gone for a month! Once he finally made it home he was very mad and a little skinny but otherwise healthy and started flaring for the ladies almost immediately lol. So if he’s good and healthy, and packaged right he should arrive just fine.

He boiled to death long before he arrived. The hot pack was right on top of bag.
