And per previous instructions, probably do not lick.

Not only did I not lick it but I gently assisted him out of the lanai with a dustpan. I thought it might not be a good idea to pick it up with my bare hand. This proves that even I have an occasional good idea!

Well, that’s a big NFG!

Here are the only two other pics I snapped shortly before I told him he had to exit the lanai.

Also, @Eagle_Steve and anyone who might know more info; the questionable toad in question was roughly 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. He was a pretty stout little guy! Or, maybe she was a girl!

Just size alone confirms it was a cane toad. Native toads are 4" max 99% of the time.

Video in the article about iD is a little old and they have moved quite a bit north and have been confirmed in larger numbers all the way up to Port Charlotte.

Thanks for the heads-up and info! I hereby order a decree changing your name from Eagle Steve to Toad Steve!

Oh my I feel so old. I had the cassette

BTW - when I see your posts I cannot help but hear this in my head. Based on this brain worm, would it be unreasonable to nicely request you only come around every few days? :squinting-face-with-tongue:
