Question on corals like this. Because Steveopora got a little beat up during dinos.

That white tissue will start getting algae.

Will new tissue grow over the old structure or is it better to snip. Also I have sniped Dead tips and it has died back a little. That must heal back?

Like right now the steveopora has algae on the burnt tips. Do I scrub it off? Manually pull or let it go.

I know it's a loaded question but it's an opportunity to learn some reefing stuff .

If only yanos was here... Lol

Missing the ladies and the knowledge.

Still not sure why that torch is coloring up in one half the colony and dulling in another... Weird (pic again)

Oo maybe it got hit by the bta close by. Didn't think that. But history the full colony has been in between both those colors.

It's like the zooanthelle moved to one half
two different species on one plug ? or is it one solid skeleton?

Usually ypu would see some stringy scruff coming out of the mouths if zoo was being expelled.

I thought that but they usually go white pretty quick when that's happening.
Frank may be onto something.

Sometimes they do put multiple frags on 1 plug.
Maybe... I've had it for awhile it was a like 10 mouths fused to one. A fat boy.

It's finally starting to split.

Maybe you are right.

Ty on acro. Steve will bounce back ! Good to hear.

Yup. If hard to clean, clip it. I have 3 massive colonies, so if it does go south, always a replacement available instead of being recycled into carx lol
It's my biggest sadness. Was an honor to get . And then I failed it.

I'm learning a lot by trying to revive it.

Ty for the safety net

@Eagle_Steve gonna try to build and execute a nem cannon this weekend before Houston has a problem.

Might relocate the second to a box or idk. Thinking of ideas. Only want one bta in the main display :) no plague of red squiggly for me.

I can see it in the rock behind it. that side is getting a different spectrum, move the torch back and left of where it is, if nothing is in it's space and if it won't reach out and hug something.
