hammer and chisel ,break at base at inward angle ,try to leave just a sm piece of bare rock attached N dip...

I'd give it about 20% odds, Frank, TBH when they fade that quick, it's never a good sign.

Iodine around where the flesh meets skeleton and give it a super glue band-aid where it looks like it might peel away.
