I just looked at the build thread and one thing they love is the IC light. Spectrum on them just fuels them like no other.

Looks like some manual work is needed and then get some things in there to outcompete it. Silicate dosing, good partial rip clean (thankfully smaller tank and not a Brandon rip clean lol) and some elbow grease.
I changed to the R24 light, which is supposed to be currents version of the AI prime?

OK, that light is not an issue compared to the IC strips. Those things throw a weird spectrum and all kinds of uglies love it.

My suggestion is to get a 5 micron sock and a couple of buckets. You will want to clean the sand by vacuuming it into the sock sitting in the bucket. The sock will catch most if not all of the Dinos. Once done with that, and if tank is not too low (if tank is too low, put some water back in tank, but leave enough to cover your largest rock). From there, grab a rock and swish it in the bucket water real good and then place it in the tank. Once done with that rock, put the water through the sock into the other bucket, so you remove the Dinos again. Keep doing that until all rocks have been swished. After all rocks have been swished, drain water into first bucket but run it through the sock again and add that water back to the tank.

This is basically a rip clean, but unlike the "main" version, you are not adding new water. You are just removing the "pest". From here, you can just get in routine of siphoning the rocks off if it builds up and vacuuming the sand, all through a sock and reusing the water.

It may also be good to dose some silicates (you can get that or even use sponge power). In addition, some biospira or another bottled bar will help boost bacteria in the system quite quickly.

You can also play with light schedule and only run the light for just long enough for the Dinos to build up and only that long. This could be a few hours and is no issue. Corals can go for a long time without light and be OK. Biggest thing is to try and get a good balance going and to let other thing outcompete the Dinos.

Sounds like a good plan, except I can’t lift the rocks XD. I have hand issues. These are all base rocks I can grab a couple but the three main ones in there are way too heavy to get out when soaking wet. Is there any other way to do it? Plus one has my rock flowers attached.

You can siphon them off, as well. Gravel/sand vac or just a hose will work, but will take a little more time and you may have to dump water back in a few times to keep the tank from getting too low.

For the RFA, it can come out of the tank and get switches no issue. Just need to make sure you do not bang it on something in the process.

I have electrical taped a toothbrush to end of siphon hose to scrub rocks in the past

My dinos just siphoned off the rocks no scrub needed @LadyMac . Siphon what you can through that sock. Then blow off the rest before lights out and added that h2o2
