My new 300 Gal

Hello!! My name is Erik and I recently moved and decided it would be a Perfect time to upgrade. Here is my new 3 month old tank. I plan on having it be mainly SPS with some LPS thrown in there.

I’ll try to name everything i have done this far. I’ll keep you posted as i continue to modify. hope you enjoy and i can’t wait to see all of your tanks as well!!

- 300 gal custom built for wall space
- Custom made stand (this was fun to build)
- Ice cap 36XL sump
- Ai prime fuge light
- Reef Octo media reactor (2ea)
- Aqua UV sterilizer
- Reef Octo - Regal 250 skimmer
- Octo pulse 4 (2ea)
- Octo puls 2 (2ea)
- Philips Coral Care Gen2 (3ea)

- Hydros control 4
- Hydros wave engine
- Kamoer F4 dosing pump (2ea)

I have been using them for about 1 month and have no complaints! This, why I’m buying the hydros XS and adding more sensors. I run almost all of my electronics off of them and love seeing everything on the hydros dashboard (app). I want more notifications and just want to see EVERYTHING thats going on within my system.

what questions do you have and maybe i can assist.

Thank you!! The best part about this tank is that when we moved into the new house… the trim & handles on the tank matched the kitchen. Lol. The wife was happy. If not, i know she would have made me change it.

I’m a carpenter, and I must say I do like your stand! It’s over engineered. I love the double up 2x4s to help add support(as I seen the first picture I was thinking oh man that one 2x4 won’t hold it, then scrolled and seen you beefed it up. My first thoughts before I seen that you doubled it up was notching a 4x4 to sit flush.) great build!

love it all..I had a 300 acrylic. built . I build my own sump out of 1/4(6mm) acrylic. Just started moving fish slowly from the 140 we have to the 300. Probably gonna take me a month..
Doing a month of no lights on the tank to help prevent algae issues.
