Just a quick update no pics, haha. My Mel wrasse is alive apparently well. I was puttering about the tank, did a filter media change that stirred up detritus in back apparently. Went downstairs to get som RODI water going on hose line. Came back in and she’s flitting about the rockwork. In a terrible lazy naming I shall dub her Melinda, unless she morphs into a male in which case it shall be Melvin.

In non reefing Pea Puffer news. The light is here and the Kraken lid is in shipping. Bought some Amano and Cherry shrimp to help with the Algae. Trying to decide if I dare get a couple ancistrus catfish as well.

Mine was a female on the verge of transitioning,now it's a transitioning male and has been since about a month after I got it. Not quite a male but brighter and more colorful than a juvenile/female.

Well I bit the bullet. Just purchased an Apex System. Needed a back up heater/controller cause I got a scare that thankfully turned out to be false alarm. I’d been contemplating getting an Apex for a while.

As am I. Really interested in one. Only thing keeping me away, because knowing me I’ll go full blown, is the price. Though at some extent it would be a nice to have and needed help. Really want an APEX.

I want a monitor for some basic stuff - pH, alk, temp... I'm probably just going to go with an inexpensive pH monitor that does temp and pH. Monitoring those at least helps me understand if/when my alk is creeping or dropping.

Well going to give it a go. Bought a 3 pack of young Ancistrus on eBay. The shrimp will be here soon as listed sent for delivery by vendor yesterday.

Last night while playing D&D there was a good chunk of time where I had nothing to do but sit and listen to conversation. So I did a little work on the tank. Ended up taking some dry rock I had and a couple small pieces from the refugium and moved the frogspawn onto them.
