Hands down, Iridis needs to be on your list! Those photos show 0 justice for them. The male had some stunning greens running through his tail and then a band of red just after. His dorsal also had bands of green and red with some yellow are some of these more delicate? I should probably start off with more hardy specimens.

I hate the way R2R has the reply set up. I’m always typing over original post and even if i didn’t mean to reply, once i hit that button, I can’t get rid of it!!

What I meant to ask:

are some of these more delicate? I should probably start off with more hardy specimens.

I think as far as the list of Halichoeres Wrasses that was shared, most of those are fairly hardy. Chrysus and Leucoxanthus are easier to find. I don't know much about the others though.

i cant think

IME, these are hardy once past the shipping phase. If you get them from your LFS they will likely be alright :)

Thank you! Yes, either LFS who does QT and conditioning or through Elliot at Marine Collectors depending on availability

Update:
Well, I didn’t quite get past the ugly stage. Everything was good, just a small amount of diatoms on rockscape. About 30 days ago, started to see an increase and some GHA showed up. My glass needs cleaning every 2 days, before it was once a week. But now it’s the orange rust color all over glass, poweheads, etc.

I reduced the amount I was feeding the two clowns, but that hasn’t helped. Water parameters aren’t off the charts, and other then adding new corals during this time, nothing has changed.

I’ve got my LFS looking into it, and I know it’s part of a new tanks process so I’m not too concerned. It’s just difficult to keep everything clean every 2-3 days, especially on a Chemo week which this is. Ugh.

Good news is most of the corals are thriving and have new growth; and those two silly clowns (I’m talking to you, Loki & Sylvie) are hilarious in their daily interactions with each other!

I like you; I don’t like you; I love you, don’t leave my side; Go To The Other Side Of Tank Now; Hey, look at me, I can twirl vertically; let’s cuddle!

Phosphates and Nitrates? What's your magnesium? Are you running a higher white or blue spectrum or a mix somehow in th middle? Lots of red and green in the white mix?

Going to do testing on all parameters tonight. Light schedule is the same. Red Sea only has two channels- blue and white; plus a moon phase. Here is a pic of schedule. I don’t play around with it.

I’ve ordered some AI Blades and should be up on tank in a week. That will give me better control and mainly have ability to see the coral colors with the spectrums I don’t currently have access to.

Friends,

Tomorrow morning my second grandchild (a girl) will be arriving into this world. A blessing I thought I might never have seen in this “timeline’” I’ve been given.

I have the honor of taking care of my 16 month old grandson (her brother) while their mother (my daughter) recuperates from a c-section in the hospital.

It is a great joy to watch this last year as my grandson has discovered the world and also to watch my daughter move seamlessly into motherhood. So this week brings more of those milestone memories into my DNA.

I will be focused on family through the week, and won’t be on R2R (other than to post I watched the TSA video for the contest). Hey, I can’t let Mr. Brown win everything!!

I know some of you check in on me on occasion and I didn’t want you to worry and I thought it would also be nice to share this most important of news.

Will sneak a picture or two and post as I can.

The owner of my LFS has graciously agreed to stop by and check on tank while I’m gone; another blessing to have such a solid vendor who truly cares about his customers. So shoutout to Dylan at @VenturaBermudaAquatics here in Ventura.

And a special thank you to these fish friends for keeping me going, being here to ask advice, learn from, laugh with, and lift each other up when days are hard. You know who you are: @kevgib67 @Katrina71 @tbrown @Thuan @ChrisQ0904
