I would maybe get a 20L for the sump as that 10gal may not hold enough water when the pump is off
Thanks. I was just testing the overflow and return connection but I will use a 20g or the 29g I have as a sump. I also test the 10g shutting down the pump and works pretty good but I think 10g is too small for a sump.

Yeah, I'm making the stand and that will be 36" high so it will have plenty space for the 29g sump.

Yep, Before I start making the baffles, I need to choose the skimmer, probably a Aquamaxx WS-1 in-sump or something similar.

Ok, today 9/29/17 working on the stand and still a lot to get complete. I’m happy with the result. What you guys think? Still need to reinforce all the legs, add both tanks bottom plywood base and final the panels to give it a nice look. Don’t know if make doors or just live it open.

I would use pvc plumbing on your new setup and for the return pump line use a swing check valve to solve the problem of overflowing your sump and if your pump ever fails it's an easy replacement

Well, almost have everything ready and did my last water test before moving the tank inside the house and found a leak on the return buckhead. I will replace that ASAP and do another test.

Leaking fixed and move the stand with the tank where will be permanently. Now I’m working to install the sump baffles.
