Hello! Had some issues yesterday with my lighting. The power supply partially failed and, because of that, the lights ran half of the schedule with lower intensity. Early today I managed to replace it with a spare PSU I have, but although its nominal voltage and power are enough for the lights, if is less powerfull than the failed one (12v 6a vs 12v 10a for a 45W light). I am fine short term, but I will buy a replacement today and avoid further issues. I also noticed the connectors are a bit oxidated so I will clean them as well

Quick update! I just replaced the PSU. everything went well with the spare, so it gives me comfort knowing I'm covered in case it happens again. I'm still waiting for the N-DOC results, which should arrive soon, since I received today the e-mail telling the sample arrived at the lab.

I'll also throw in a pic of my YWG, cause why not

N-DOC results just arrived! The only thing off is the total Nitrogen on the high side. Nut it is actually not that high at 3.42 mg/l (For reference, if all this N was from NO3 alone, the reading for Nitrates would be 15.12 which is not very high. My only concern is the High N - low P situation I'm in.

My guess is that this has to do with how I was feeding. I didn't use to turn off the flow, so some of the food would just get lost in the tank and go uneaten. Now, I just stated turning off the flow, so everything is getting eaten, but I have a concern about feeding my YWG, which does not compete for the food right now and, without the flow, little to no food comes close to him. I'm hoping he will step up and start going for it eventually. In the meantime, I'm making sure he is maintaining his weight and feeding with flow if necessary.

Hello! Today was water change day and I took advantage of the time to also do some rescaping in the tank. I did this because I watched my goniopora at night sending sweepers towards the two hammers close to it, and they were in bad shape (this wasn't a problem before but goni has grown quite a lot). So I swapped my smaller rocks around, chage the repositioning my acan to accommodate the two hammers. I hope they will recover. I also removed the yellow center goniopora from its spot due to bleaching, so now it is sitting at the sandbed. Here are pics of how the tank is now:

Hello!

After the corrective WCs, my tank is in really good shape! Most of my corals are growing nicely and my alk consumption has increased substantially. The bad news is I lost my peppermint shrimp due to unknown reasons.
Since I was feeling confident with my water quality, I added a few corals in these last couple weeks. I also added an emerald crab to see if it eats my bubble algae
