Just finished my blackout. Tank looks so much better. No casualties!!!! Now running blues at 15% and whites at 5% and I will slowly acclimate up to the usual light schedule. Still running UV 24/7, but I will probably back down to only nights pretty soon. Once I’m done with the UV sterilizer, I will buy copepods and possibly live rock to add biodiversity to my tank and ensure these dinos will stay gone! Still keeping a watchful eye on my nitrates and phosphates to make sure they dont drop to or near 0. As of today, nitrates are sitting pretty at 10ppm and phosphates are sitting at 0.07ppm. Hopefully these are good enough levels to keep these dinos away. Also thinking about dosing silicates to promote diatom growth to outcompete these dinos. If anyone has any suggestions to silicate additives or has any more suggestions/advice, please let me know!
