Beauty! That fixture setup is sweet

Thanks! My goal with this build was to have the best possible equipment for the least amount of money and I think I nailed it with this lighting combo.

Now I need to fill this thing up with fish, working on my wish list and stocking order while I do some additional upgrades to the tank.. need to make a lid to keep in the jumpers and set up quarantine tank.

Begging for food this morning :)

Stunning acans! I'm working on a lightning project as well...yours turned out great!

Thanks so much! I just need to figure out how I will eventually place them, would like to keep them on sand and mount them on a single artificial frag rack rock something like the one from BRS in the picture so I can move them around as they grow out

Do you mind if I ask what lights you used?

Get them at Walmart cheap, not very bright but great for nano tanks. I run 4 of them on my Biocube as supplements to my nano-box but on the 40 they are just accent lighting.. great little light, good spectrum for that 450nm “pop” and very reliable I have been using them for several years.

Manually plugging in the t5’s got old quick so I picked up a couple grounded water resistant timers, my coral box LED has a built in controller and my accent LED’s are on a timer that I already had so this will complete my lighting automation.

Tidied up my canopy wiring and installed timers.. had 5 separate power cables to manage but a bunch of zip ties, a few wire mounts and I’m happy enough. I may install the aquatic life end plates to cover wires at some point but not to pressed..

Have a few shrooms floating around the tank so I made a box to contain them until they attach to rubble..
