Most of my pics are with my Pixel as well
It has taken me more than 3 years to figure out the Canon:eek::D. I am after the 100mm lens for micro shots.

I have a Canon T3i that I take some with but the Pixel is just so much easier. I need a better lens. I have 3 and none are Macro. Kinda hard to get any good close ups. I have spacers but they don't really work well with zoom lenses

One thing I learned is to use a telephoto lens and just stand back further when taking a picture. I have taken some good shots this way. I take everything off of auto and I adjust the focus.

I need to get the micro lens soon, Canon just raised the lens price another $100;)

jsker,
You did a great job on your auto water system!! ;Woot

Freddie
Thank you Freddie. A couple of corals are not happy with the parameters bouncing around the last month. I am going to check the parameters tomorrow or Friday.

It's Saturday and I am going to post my boring numbers:p:D
Went and watched all the @Hanna Instruments videos with Kevin Costa just to make sure I am measuring correctly. I did learn something new about the 10ml level, to have the level of the bottom curve at the 10 ml mark instead of the top of the water line at 10 ml;)
Ca 505 Hanna
Mg 1500 AquaForest
Alk 9.5 Hanna
This is week number one of the AWC and make dosing adjustments and salinity adjustments. I think it is time to bite the bullet and order the Hanna salinity tester.
Phosphates .04 Hanna
Nitrates 10 ppm ELOS, by the way, good test kit.
Temp 78.4
PH 8.04
Conductivity 33.8
ORP 324

Now just to let the numbers drop inline slowly.

Funny, you say the Elos test kit is a good kit but on Marine Depot they only get 1.5 star rating...

I need a new N03 test kit and have been looking. Not sure which way to go

I am switching away from Red sea. The ELOS is pretty simple with two steps and a 5 minute cook time:)

Most of the comments on MD are that the color variations are hard to match and sometimes don't match at all....

IDK???

This is true.... I just find the Red Sea NO3 easy to read. Not the pro as my NO3 is higher than that one can do easily. Usually between 10-20

Hey, if it works then stick with it. I want to try something new. The ELOS alk test is spot on and I figure so is the nitrate test

I had to look that one up Freddie. Those are nice refractometers. I still have the much less expensive refractometer, when I first got back into saltwater. It is pretty good but not what I would like to check the new saltwater resiouver and the system.

Nice avatar, the preds are up 3/2

From the looks and prices of the Hanna vs. the Milwaukee, I'd go Milwaukee...
