Today's winning numbers are
Ca 450
Mg 1400 dosed last week extra Mg
Alk 7.56 bumped up the alk dose. I came to the conclusion that my reagent was not giving me the right numbers. I discovered this when I change over to a new bottle of reagent and also tested with another reagent. Clue some times it best to double check the checker:eek::D
No3 8 ppm
PO4 a trace to .02 ppm

3 weeks running Life bio fil and my nutrient number have been steady without having to do any thing. I am back to changing water every two weeks again and might even skip this week.

My next experiment is auto water changes. Looking to go online with auto water changes of 1.25 gallons a day by the end of March. Need to save to make this happen, I really like the pacific sun kore 5th for the total package of doing my small dosed products and the AWC feature;)

I've had the same thing happen to me in the past with reagents. I usually catch it pretty quick because I check Alk daily. The auto water changes would be cool to do but alas I cannot.... I'm using the probiotic salt from Aquaforest and it's not recommended to have it stored for that long.

ahh yes the old 24hr rule. I have been running my alk pretty low from where I usually run it. I was laughing to myself today that our nems split at the same time. Now I differently have to get another maroon.

Looks like the AF life bio is doing it job. Maintenance yesterday with a water change, carbon change, GFO change, cleaned skimmer, and today change my sock. I still have a couple of corals that are still recovering for the crash. I was doing some reading and start to dose vitimarin- c along with vitimarin M with my frozen. The interesting thing about my reading was back before cell phone I would toss a vitamin C tab into the tank once a week for the over all health. From my reading vitamin c also help with coral tissue health. This is a wait and see again, depending on the result I might just start dosing pure vitamin C with the food blend and cut the rest of the processed product out.

Disclaimer: I do not hug trees, but I do believe that we as a planet need to go back to the basics and eat a better balance diet. This meaning no processed foods with by product or enhancers. I also believe our pets should be granted the same courtesy. I also believe in cold beer, and having a good time in life with responsibility, and if you are feeling irresponsible make sure you have bail money of a responsible adult the will yank you back to reality

Ca 425
Mg 1320
Alk 8.54
Po4 trace

bumped up the Ca Mg dose by 2 ml per day, and backed off the alk by 1 ml per day. Changing out 10% water, and doing some other maintenance. Also change out 10% lif bio fil. One thing I am finding out is that the higher I run my alk, the more absorption of Ca and Mg.

I am very happy, I will will know more in two weeks when the new arrivals have time to adjust and since I have my number in line again I should start seeing some results.

Well after 5 months, my system is sucking Ca, Mg, alk, and the trace elements. Been cranking the dosers up little by little. Just check my potassium and that was very low. Made some adjustment and we shall see;)
