Good evening, Did I big time clean up of my controller wiring and plumbing. I thought I would go cheap with the tubing to run my overflow and return. I spent a day repairing the overflow leaks and with the choice of tubing offered at the big box improvement store I compromised again. After doing it right my flow as doubled or more.

Nice read and great job DIYing it. So you recommend the Hydras? I was looking to upgrade from 2=24" Current Orbits on a 55g with 30g sump. Was going to spend $900+ on 2 Maxpect Ethereals
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JMAV90...TF8&colid=18DK7SW84288B&coliid=I1W6V1NVZAC7HP
But you have me thinking about the Hydras. My friend has the Radeons and has great growth. And since they are similar, you have me thinkin...
You have some great corals by the way. I have a Frostbite Clown (one of my Avatars jumped) and a Gold Nugget Clown. Not in the same tank. Want to get companions for both. Again, I love DIYer like myself, great job!!

Thank you, I like the Hydras, I am also using Aquafroest for my salt and dosing the balling method 1+2+3+ form AF. Very happy with both changes I made in February and March.

Just caught your build thread now, can't wait to see those frags grow out! Awesome!
I am glad you ask the question about natural sea water. I am about an hour away from the gulf and 50 minutes away from the Atlantic.

I've heard loads of negatives about it but always from people that don't seem to use it which I appreciate their advice always. I just wanted to hear from people that do use it because I know there's a lot out there

My big question is how long will the water store. If I am changing 16 gallons 60.5 liters a month and I have 100 gallons 378 liters on hand how long will that last being stored. It seem that most who are using the NSW are closer that an hour from the ocean and just can pretty much run down and grab what they need. I would also say with NSW one would not have to dose the trace elements or as much using NSW. I thing I need to copy and past this in the thread you started:D

Great work Jsker. Like the dosing container!

Thank you, next week I am make some smaller ones for my trace element components and try out the tricks I learned by using the thinner glue;) So far to make my sump and dosing containers it has cost about $170.00

Great camera, no trouble taking pictures. The two lens that came with it are basic lens. Once I get into the settings I am lost, and I know I can do so much more with a better understand of how the camera works. I would like the micro lens for very close shots and a better telephoto lens.
I purchased the camera through Costco and the deal was great
