I just read the thread and it doesn't look like he was trying to offend you. In this hobby it is typical for new hobbyist to rush things and get a tank stocked asap. He was just trying to relay that it isn't good to rush things based on the info posted in the thread. If we attack people for offering advice, then people will stop offering any advice at all.

Did you possibly think it was the way this person offered advice? Sorry, but when a person misgenders when it is clear from the screen name what gender I am, I tend to take offense right off the bat. My information is posted in my signature and in my post count. I can't help it if that person is using a pathetic app for his/her cell phone. It goes both ways, if you ask a question or offer advice nicely, then I will respond nicely. If you don't, then don't expect my reply to be nice.
