I knew absolutely nothing about the world of salt water and a friend recommended this page and your build was the first thing I came across. I've been quietly following along and now know I know absolutely nothing!

Your craftsmanship and dedication are inspiring and your patience humbling. The sump room is, from a geek standard, amazing and I don't know what half the stuff does. I am seriously giving the Marine and/or reef tank a serious consideration but realize a lot of research will be necessary before hand.

Thank you for sharing your build.

Thank you very much. Reef tanks are a lot of work, but very rewarding. I strongly encourage you to give this hobby a try.

You are definitely on the right forum for all the help you need. There are a lot of very knowledgable people on R2R that are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Just finished to the end of this fantastic build. It was kind of like binge-watching episodes of a favorite TV show on Netflix....I kept wanting more and couldn't wait for the next reveal! Glad I didn't have to wait all the long months to get to the end though.

Beautiful tank and incredible work! I absolutely love DIY stuff but don't have anywhere near the space (or $, lol) for such a great project but maybe one day! You've definitely inspired me to think big on the decorative aspects of my first build. Previously I thought the tank was the only consideration as long as the stand was not ugly. Now I see that it can take a beautiful tank one notch up to spectacular :)!

Thanks for sharing!

(And P.S. that box of gloves back on one of the pages does look super familiar:p)

Any new updates?
I am probably the slowest reefer on the planet [emoji12]. I don't add anything quickly. Plus we've been gone a lot lately.

Rewind a bit.......I had a Dino outbreak in my old tank just weeks before the transfer. I lost several acros before the new tank was ready. An ETRC club mate took the surviving acros into his tank in hopes to salvage them. Unfortunately, all but 2 of my frags from Adam @ Battlecorals did not survive [emoji22]

But.....we march on, and I will be replacing them.

I added a Randall's goby and Tiger pistol a few weeks ago. Paired up and tunneling everywhere. Very hard to get a decent pic with the iPhone.

Added a few rainbow acans, a PC Rainbow, and getting these beauties from Brandon @Fraghouse sometime this morning.........I'm stoked!

My wife and i enjoyed meeting you and the other guys at the club meeting. Your tank gave my wife ideas about my new tank setup thats in the planning stages, and early build process. I have started to get equipment together. So the plans changed

My photography skills are seriously lacking......please don't judge too harshly.

I took these with an iPhone 6S plus and playing around with a free app called VSCO. I can't find a zoom option with VSCO so I can't get real good close up shots. So I'm having a lot of trouble getting good pics of my sticks. But they're still babies anyhow.

great. it is all blue.
LOL I suspect I should take pics with my actinics off. In reality, the tank doesn't look blue whatsoever.....just those new frags. I'll try taking some pics with the whites only tomorrow and see how that turns out.

It's all about white balance which of course is not tweabable with the phone. Let's figure out one weekend when you're free and I'll bring my camera over and we can take some pics of your setup [emoji4]
