MXM + Prime16hd and Lunar Setting

I’ve got the equipment in the thread title. Think it’s an A2 head, MXM, and I have four Prime16 HD’s. Daylight schedule/spectrum works great, no issue. I can make a generic lunar schedule (time and intensity setting) and it works OK.


I can’t get the “If Moon 000/000 then On” to work though. Like it will take the programming and upload it. But the lunar light is on 100% intensity and it doesn’t change corresponding to the Season Table. I’ve put the code in the Basic Tab but it doesn’t work.

When I had the MyAI app controlling the lights the lunar mode worked fine.

So I sent a message to Neptune Support over the issue. Turns out the Ai Prime 16hd is not fully supported by the MXM. The “if moon 000/000 then on” code will not work. You also cannot replace “on” with a 1-99 value to alter intensity. The MXM can’t do profiles with Ai lights per their tech support.

I probably would not have swapped the WXM out for the MXM had I known. Prior to the MXM I just used the MyAI app for lighting contol and let the WXM run my MP40’s. It’s cool to have the MXM controlling everything via the Apex app. I just feel it’s janky it can’t do profiles with Ai. The support stated they didn’t have an ETA for adding support but I hope it’s something they’re trying to implement.
