Noticing something (maybe) going on with my Monti digitata. it has been growing pretty quickly but I’m seeing some polyps at the new growth that are clear/white. Is this normal? I’ve been dosing All For Reef for the past 2 weeks and started seeing faster growth in all of my sps (montis, stylo, green acro, leptoseris, leptastrea) as well as LPS. The AFR seems to have brought nutrients down as it has a carbon dosing effect and some of the zoas didn’t seem too pleased (partially closed then reopened with smaller polyps). Here’s a photo of the polyps on my red digi…seeing a few like this on the new growth of the bubblegum digi as well.
Parameters:
Temp- 79F
Salinity- 34ppt
NO3 1-2ppm
PO4 0.01(traces)
Alk- 8
Ca- 460
Mg- 1380

Normal growth but make sure you keep nutrients going.
Po4 @0.01 is very low, don't go below that.
I like to stay @ 0.05 minimum but 0.08 I'm much more comfortable.
Right. I’m having to dose NeoPhos to keep up with it being absorbed by rocks and sand still.
