Two little frags have turned into two big frags, maybe even colonies.
In the left corner weighing in at 4 large branches: grafted Montipora digitata!
In the right corner weighing in at 3 large heads and a nub: bubble gum Montipora digitata!
As you can see, there are a few points where the grafted digi is beginning to run into the bubble gum digi (blue circles).
What I am interested in knowing is if the grafted will kill the bubble gum, the bubble gum prevail, or will they merge like a type of grafted-grafted digi. Any thoughts? To me it seems like the grafted digi is starting to grow over the bubble gum. If that is the case, what is the best method to halt the take-over? A bit of kalk paste on the edges of the grafted digi?
P.s., I was really concerned about my new garf bonsai frag, but looks like it is holding its own against the monti (white circle).
