Hi,

I’m about to build a new SPS system. The tank will be 8ftx 8ftx 27”.

My last tank measured 6ft x 8ft x 3ft. I had a tank thread on Reef Central at the time.

Here’s a photo of the old tank….

Went wider, so best to compensate with slightly shallower….. maybe 27”?

I know you went wider so the height has to be less due to water volume pressures are different, @dantimdad @Mo. Mo is a mate in England dude and I think you are the person to advise. ;)

I was able to go 40” if I wanted last time, so I’m sure 36” is easily possible with 8x8.

it’s managing the depth when you’re so wide that’s the problem.

I’m also going predominantly SPS, so shallower will be better….

That is going to be an epic lagoon view. :)
