Exciting stuff! Can’t wait to see that rock.Big updates! Picking up 40lbs of TBS Live rock tomorrow! I built a simple control board out of a large kitchen cutting board and have everything plugged into the XP8. I'll take pictures later tonight and update tomorrow after the rock goes in. Super excited to finally kick the tank off!
Loving it so far! I've seen several porcelain crabs, limpets, starfish, and tons of other creatures already.Making me regret not going TBS rock. That crab is really neat looking too!
Sounds like it's coming along. So exciting!Parameters are stable and bacteria is doing it's job in processing ammonia. Had a small spike with some cloudy water day after adding the live rock presumably to some small die off and has been solid ever since. I've spot fed the bristle star several times with some frozen mysis and the bacteria is processing the excess quickly. Also notice lots of pods in the tank already which I'll take as a good sign! decided to add a bag of matrix in the caddy to prep for the quarantine tank. First soft corals going in late next week! Aqua SD had a great memorial day sale with lots of frags 1-20$ so decided to grab a few! Going to let the tank stabilize for several weeks after that before adding fish.
New coral frag list:
Current planned stocking list:
- Aussie crown leather
- Blue nova zoa
- electric red rim blasto (We will see how this one goes...)
- Firework clove polyps
- plum vine duncan
- gsp (going to try and get it to grow on the back glass)
- 2 Ocellaris Clowns
- Midas Blenny
- Yellow watchman goby
- Melanurus wrasse
- Orchid dottyback (maybe depending on how bioload looks)
That's actually the blasto and it is beautiful! Didn't take a picture of the zoas as they are mostly still closed. The aussie crown leather is also gorgeous. I'll have to take a picture of that one tonight. Those Zoas have some nice color!
Nice looking frags!A couple of pics from the frags recieved either this week. Everyone looks happy but the zoas. Giving everyone time to acclimate to the tank before moving them around.
