I am trying to understand the logic behind the some of sales in Marketplace. I know some of those are stolen identities trying to trick people to pay them and don’t send anything.
I have been looking for an Apex ATK, as you know they around $220 in the stores. If you search in Marketplace you will find some from $100 to $140 obviously way below the market. I sent messages to some “is it available?” and received no answer. They are obviously not real. There was one I received a response. I checked her sale location and facebook profile location which were different. I asked her about it, she said she recently moved. Since Facebook offers purchase protection, I ordered one for $120 and payed for it. Two days later she came back and said there was an error in the order and it is ok for me to cancel the order. So I cancelled the order, PayPal removed the payment so all is well.
There should be a catch here that I am missing. What is the person on the marketplace gained out of this?
Just go to market place and enter Apex ATK to see the names pop up.
