Hey folks... My original intent was to set this baby up for my son but I am pondering if that is the right thing to start with... (He is only 4) In that case, I am willing to sell it at a reasonable price (tank and stand) in order to procure some smaller items (Maybe even one of those handy dandy lights the group is talking about). Is there anyone out there that has a need for this setup and would make a reasonable offer? (Im not looking to get 100% because I want to pass some good fortune off to someone else) Let me know if your interested and we can talk about price! NP

Hey Nano. In the trade forums you have to post a price. It eliminates a lot of confusion and price fishing.

Also Aquatic may give a trade on it or something. I need to buy one but I'm tapped for a couple of weeks.

Lol I was thinking about buying one for my 3 year old he's almost 4. My son tells everyone he is a fish doctor.

For what its worth, I say keep it! My 4yr old is fish crazy (see the article I wrote as well as a lot of my other posts) and loves showing off our "salt tank" and since it is finishing the cycle he always has a creative and different answer for what we are going to put in it. It ranges from stingrays, to sharks, to his "friend" the big puffer from the aquarium. That said, I would let him make it his "own" and let him learn about the hobby and make it a parent/child bonding experence.

just my 2 cents

I also think you ought to just keep it!

Gary has two of these tanks (or something equivalent) side by side and they're absolutely lovely.

Also, you can choose very different tank inhabitants for each one: make one all softies and one all LPS or something! That could be cool!

I actually was thinking about this... Might be neat to see 2 totally different spectrums of the ocean side by side... Hmmm

I would recommend you keep it. The lights should last for years without changing. It will be easy to keep going. If I had more money in my hobby fund, I'd offer to take it and trade you my 24G nano with LED lights along with some cash. I just don't have the funds at the moment. Sorry.
