Can you spot the space I opened up to prevent shading down below?

Ran into an issue Friday when my back up CO2 tank was empty somehow. Guessing it had a very small leak, but had to run out for a quick exchange.

The guy asked if this one was ok and I actually think it has a lot of character. HA

Tough call. Gonna go with the first. Is your angel still in there? Haven’t seen it in the last few pics.

Sadly I lost BoTom and my Caribbean blue tang to a strange outbreak (ich or other). Really breaks my heart. The Leopard Wrasses, Golden Damsels, and Other fish weren't affected.

Smaller fishes for sure. 170 gallons isn't enough for an Adult Emperor and maybe I should have known that.

Flame Angel, Yellow Tang, and some kind of Chromis school are my most recent thoughts.

Water is a little foggy from the water change but these two are making my job so much easier. I used to be able to tell by the sand when a change was overdo. Now it's a bit harder to tell as they keep it so white on the surface.
