From everything I've heard, mollies, guppies, and ghost shrimp are fine, other freshwater fish are probably a bad idea; it's also generally suggested to avoid krill.View attachment 3147932Marvin eating his Krill. Anything else I should feed him? He's done live ghost shrimp and a couple of feeder minnows but I was told not to do freshwater fish too much or he could get fatty liver.
As mentioned in the food for thought thread, it’s generally not recommended to use live feeders from saltwater due to disease concerns (yes, a proper QT would theoretically remove that issue, but -given how much predators eat - maintaining a proper live feed supply using QT would be incredibly difficult; you’d be better off QT’ing some broodstock and then breeding them to use the young as feeders - see the thread linked below). So, overall, it’s just easier to feed mollies and guppies (they’re also easier to breed, even - from what I’ve heard - in saltwater).Does anyone know where to buy live saltwater feeder fish?
