Unpacking all the gear I got with this tank, and noticed I'm missing one of the stock return plumbing pieces.

Anyone have a link to order a replacement kit, or what are the other options to plumb this baby? Of this was you how would you build it?

Looks like they glued all the standppipes and returns to the bulkheads, so there's that, and I'm missing one return. Where I have 4 new bulkhead's I was thinking I'd just replace it all if I could find it

Shouldn’t be hard to do just measure using old ones as guide an cut to length
I’m guessing it’s the upper return nozzle your missing critter may have those give them a call

I have all the loc line and such, but the standppipes are glued so I cant use them on new bulkhead's, and same with the returns. Of the only way is hardware store trip that's fine, I'll just have to measure etc, but I wasn't sure if they sold it like aqueon does In a kit. Figured I'd use the newest bulkheads vs re using the old, and I'm missing the PVC does the second overflow return. Anyways

I would give marineland a shout. They used to have awesome customer service. They may be able to guide you to a vendor that has them or maybe even sell you them direct.

you know i dont know why i didnt even think of that... next question, is i intend to use flex pipe like on my 125, should i just get 2 new bulkheads for the return sides that are barbed vs slip like i have now. Flex works best where my sump is behind my tank stand.

Called Marineland, and they dont sell them direct, but any store that sells marineland tanks can order it apparently. SO ill make some calls today, and see who might have it, and make a trip to get it if its not insanely priced, as if it is. ill head to marvins this weekend and build it all myself.

I had assumed that this was a new tank, but in seeing the pictures above, obviously that’s not the case.

I would strongly recommend replacing all of them at this point. As rubber ages it gets more brittle and less flexible... and when it’s in salt water ifs that much worse. Trying to reuse those bulkheads could be asking for a leak. You might find it difficult or impossible to seal them now or they could start leaking a few weeks or months down the line. But if it was me I would want new bulkheads with new rubber seals.

i actually have the new bulkheads, its more the actual stock durso plumbing, and i may change out the return bulkheads for the barbed 3/4 or so like i have on the 125.

Ok, perfect. I wouldn’t worry about reusing the PVC pipes... as long as you have new bulkheads you should be good to go. Course if the pipes are glued into the bulkheads then that could be difficult:/

That said, the stock durso pluming was pretty loud on my marineland 220. I set it up that way for a short time when I first set up my tank and then switched to herbies to quiet things down.

ive got the stock durso in my 125 without much noise, i dont mind it, and im not a fan of plumbing back over the rim, as it will mess with building the screen tops so i can keep my stupid wrasses in the tank, and not jumping in my sump behind the tank.

Tanks in my man cave, so i watch hockey, play with the pups, and play pool, it doesnt have to be completely silent. i hardly hear my 125, but it does have glass tops.
