Anyone have any tips or tricks on mantis shrimp removal. I recently picked up about 40lbs of fresh live rock and day 1i found about a 3inch smasher mantis, but two days later I woke up and heard the smashing sound again. I pulled out all the rocks removing the first one, but the rocks have many holes and are completely covered in sponges and macro algae, so it’s really hard to pinpoint where he’s hiding. Any one have any ideas on what I can do to make sure I get the remaining mantis shrimp out?

I made a small bottle - cut off the top and inverted it to make a trap. tied a fishing line to it and put some scallop in it and caught it up in 10 minutes

photos coming.
