Hello,
I bought some magnesium sulfate to dose for my reef tank using a recipe written by @Randy Holmes-Farley that calls for 8 cups magnesium per gallon of solution and refers to a online calculator to tell you how much to use.
The problem is that calculator isn't up anymore, so how many ml of that solution do I need per  x gallons to raise the magnesium by  x ppm?
Or, how many cups of magnesium per litre of solution do I need and how many ml per  litre of aquarium water since I live in metric land :)

Ah, so the link in the article was bad.
Also, by "cup" is it meant a metric "cup" (250ml) or a US cup (half a pint)?

The exact recipe is 64 ounces by weight. That was about 8 us cups.

So if I translate the ratio of mag powder volume to water to metric that works out to about roughly 2 metric cups (250ml) to one litre of water, correct?
