I probably could have waited and asked lfs to order one, but I wanted to take down the Evo and it's the perfect observation tank for new comers since it's mature and now near empty. The clowns are easy to catch on delivery day so the tank will be ready by Wednesday.

I haven't gotten the last 2 anenomes out yet, I can't get the sponge to sit right for the nem cannon. I might have to try a smaller sponge.

I'll likely glue together the pico and set it up on the dresser that the Evo is on now.

I've lost a few sticks from my battlebox order, randomly here and there. I'm trying a new tactic with saving RTN pieces though, and interesting enough, it's kinda working?

1, when I see trouble, i prep an iodine dip.
2, get trouble frag into iodine and prepare a plug or two, glue and cutters.
3, inspect and cut a chunk to save, sometimes more if the frag was branchy. Back into dip.
4, glue saved onto new plugs then back into display in a lower light spot.
The gathering of tools gives the perfect time for dip. I do this all on top of the glass lids, (don't judge me) so it's fast and minimal out of water time.

Short term results have been about 50/50. The first one I did a week ago split into 2, but have not peeled again and are going good so far. The one I did last night, I also got 2, and one peeled and one didn't.

Last time I did nothing other than dips, and I saw many slowly die. I thought this time I'll try something different.

Credit to Frank to just cut the good part off from me posting about my struggles during.... well the last struggle.

I still have the contest Houdini frag, and 6 of his friends doing good with pretty polyps out.

The 2 i saved from a week ago. Still look good.

Going to send out an ICP test today to rule out any weird things. But haven't lost any other sticks since last post.

Also need to catch the clowns and remaining yellow watchmen goby and shrimpy dude in the Evo so it's empty for the new fishies arriving today.

Ywg and shrimp dude into the 75g.
IMG_20240529_103326433.jpg

New friends, 3 Scarlet hermits and 2 emerald crabs. Was supposed to be 4 scarlets, but they missed one, and was supposed to be 3 emeralds but one was DOA. Not a biggie, probably not even report it to the vendor.
IMG_20240529_113118868.jpg

Also, the coral beauty, Mel wrasse and blenny each look good upon arrival. Acclimated and into the Evo. Mel hid, but the other 2 look fine so far. (Better pics as they become available)

And a greenhouse. That was a royal pain to put together. Good ol harbor freight directions. If the deer walk in here to eat them tomatoes now I'm to tackle them and eat them.

Lawnmower blenny. Chillin'.

There are 3 drains out of an over flow. Primary low with elbow, secondary middle with elbow and emergency high and no elbow.
Full flow on primary, little to no flow on seconday, no flow on emergency unless well it's an emergency.
Primary and secondary go to the same area in the sump while emergency tends to drop into another area. I have a gate valve on my primary only to control flow rate and a dc pump as a return to help with control as well. You will see gate valves on all 3 and to me that's silly but to each his own. Lmk if you have any more ?'s :)

Stopped by lfs and bought this clam. Currently dripping. They've had it 6 weeks, and it was tank raised, so I'm assuming not affected by whatever clam disease going 'round. Got a smokin' deal on it since I've been bringing in more coral trades.

Well attached to the frag rock so it came with. It's over 2", and a maxima. Only a couple vermetid snails on the shell.

Currently going into the 15 cube to give me time to glue and rearrange the loose corals everywhere. It was under a weaker light so I want to increase slowly and the prime is way easier to adjust levels then the noops on the big tank.

Also ordered a foxface from the store.

Wish me luck y'all.
