Macro algae for urchin

I am thinking of growing some macro algae in a, about, 4 gallon(10”x11”x9”) section of my sump. I was wondering what people’s favorite algae to use is, and hopefully find an algae that I could periodically feed to my urchins. I read ulva could be a good choice, but also it could go sexual and become a nuisance.
