Lyertail anthias ID

Order some lyretail anthias (female). The origin was labeled from Fiji but the color and morph came in out of my expectations.

I suppose the Fiji lyertail should be all orange? But these two look pinkish and the big one has a longer spine on the fin.

any ideas if I got the female anthias or they are not from Fiji?

You have a Fijian pair. This is an Indian lyretail male.

interesting, looks like indian is more red then? nice blue star leopard as well, love mine. Leopard wrasses are great aquarium fish when you can get them eating

I guess I’ll just wait til one fully become male and get another female so I have a trio! Do they turn back female if i have introduced another more aggressive male?

I have a pair 3 years (from two females) they coexist without aggression.
Once male, male to death, like clowns.
Males change colour when fully transferred.

Mine eats well. Thanks to Algae Barn and Poseidon for their pods. She also eats Dragon Roe from Algae Barn like a champ.

One of my anthias is fairly small (about 1.5 inch) but them look similar. I would say they are more pink than orange….. hopefully only the bigger one is transitioning not the smaller one

This... If the fin is developing, it's transitioning.

I have a now male dispar that did the same with a small harem of female lyretails.

That looks like a male Lyretail. Are you sure it’s a Dispar?
