I've looked at these before but was nervous about their sting. Do they need light or can they survive on feedings alone? Not total darkness but I have a shaded area and I've been trying to find something to place there and it's away from other corals.

EDIT disregard, I'm running barebottom.

Everything I read so far before I bought mine said to feed them once or twice a week. I have watched mine move themselves if they weren’t happy. I don’t know how they would do on a barebottom tank. I also have mine where they can’t sting any corals and they get plenty of light
