So one day i was feeding all my fish a Blue tang, Bristletooth tang, Flame Hawk, six line wrasse and a blenny.

Looked at my skimmer the next day it was greenish liquid was thought to be a nopox overdose still think it was because my auto doser wasnt working just for the nopox then i got in working that night next day all dead but Clownfish and a Banana wrasse.

Now it's a week later the skimmer is skimming properly the color is no longer green its brown as it should be woke up again to see my 2 clowns dead??? Only have a banana wrasse left out of all my fish which were super expensive for me and i can only presume that might day in the coming days.

My question to the more experienced people since that day that i lost nearly all my fish that one night the others weren't as active as previous so could it still be from the nopox overdose or is there something more at play? Also no signs of disease no spots no noticeable thing on the fish just super deflated now ive lost it all pretty much.

Appreciate any help :|

I agree that the NoPox is a suspect here. I've had multiple cases where the bacterial action from this material scavenged oxygen from the water, increased the carbon dioxide and caused fish loss in tanks that weren't aerated properly (not just circulated, the surface tension needs to be strongly brokwn). The dynamics of this is complicated - in aquariums with a lot of algae, you'll see the worst issue at night - where the bacteria oxygen consumption is combined with reverse phase photosynthesis. Then, there are all sorts of subtle effects; in one case, the NoPox was fine until the aquarist topped their tank up. This effectively cut out the aeration that was being supplied by water returning from the HOB filter, and the fish died that night. Micro-environments also come into play - the wrasse (normally having a high oxygen requirement) may be surviving under the sand because it could be isolated from the effects there.

Now - if your tank has good aeration (from an air stone) then this probably wasn't the issue......

Often in this case , it will be disease opposed to water quality especially when yhey die this quickly. I have see/heard of noPox having effect on fish but rarely. Fish were eating which would be good, but have you,,,,did you notice any rapid breathing, gasping at surface or swimming in front of powerheads?
Dying this quickly suggests velvet but there are signs, some as just mentioned in question.
If not velvet, NoPox again especially if overdosed can be a suspect. Did any of the dead fish have their mouths wide open when discovered?

No fish were gasping until i found them dead the next morning they were swimming freely as they have been for months. After most of the fish died out i did notice the clowns swim really close to the blower one was actually dead under the blower so that explains that and your bang on about the wrasse under sand maybe surviving that way.
Whatever this is how long in your opinion woukd you go without getting fish again, I guess i should just keep an eye on the wrasse then?

A NOPOX overdose can cause a bacterial bloom which in turn will cause low oxygen in the water. Low oxygen will lead to fish asphyxiation. This explains the first die off but not of the clowns dying.

Sorry for all your losses.
yeah thats what ive been told appreciate you

If nopox caused 02 deprivation this condition worsened overnight when 02 levels naturally decrease slightly in a tank which is why we typically find fish dead in the morning from lack of 02. Ideally though just to cover disease. You should move the last fish into observation QT and let your tank fallow 45 to 76 days. This way you ensure no disease is left in the tank in the event that this was the underlying cause instead of or in addition to the nopox situation. Patience is key and your tank will recover from this sad situation
