Lost a good fish today…..

Just venting I guess. For no apparent reason other than age hopefully I found my Midas Blenny dead this morning. They say their life span is only about 5 years and he was pretty good size.
Gonna miss that one. Always swimming and up front of the tank!

Bummer,,, sorry.
My similar experience was with a bicolor blenny that I had for about 2 years.
Seemed perfectly happy/healthy and then just died.
*to ease my mind I realize that it was already full grown when I bought it so hope it was just a natural lifespan playing out but no idea, really

It’s funny how fish can have personality for sure. Mine sure did. On the other hand I have a couple of zebra darts in the tank about the same size but they hide unless it’s feeding time. Only personality is scary cat.
