Looking to make some reef friends in SoCal!

Hello everyone, San Diego area here. So a peak into how we got here. My step son has autism and we have recently found that the aquariums just sooth him. I have a 180 mostly fish and live rock, and some mushrooms recently added that I have been running for about 6 years now. Anyhow since we all live together now, he can't get enough of the aquarium so earlier this year he comes up to me and says (DAD) can we make a real reef tank. Hmmmmm I was in awww can we make a reef tank I loved the idea, in case you think I'm a jerk right now I just want you to know the (DAD) part sent me for a loop I was in tears. That was the first time he called me dad since we met, but we never pushed that issue with him. I had a friend that shut his tank down last year but never got rid of it so I picked it up from him. I built the canopy for the black boxes when he first purchased it. These pictures are when I first purchased it from him a few months ago.
My son and I cleaned it up, and we built the aquascape the way he wanted to. Months later here we are I got the apex controller, the neptune wave duel pumps, and the reef breeder photon v2 plus. Now I'm out of money for corals and fish. I know we'll get there, but if anyone is local and perhaps willing to donate a few frags I would be more than grateful.
I added pictures of how it look now, just sitting and waiting for its new life to develop. Hint hint there is one snail and one tiny mushroom in there just so Connor could see it

What kind of frags are you looking for, LPS, SPS, softies?

Looking for more of an sps tank but pretty sure it will end up more of a mixed reef. He likes such a variety, and I'm just all about the life. Thank you for asking. Hopefully you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We added some life today. Sorry the pictures are not great but I don't have a filter for my phone. My son and wife were super excited when they walked in the front door. He was so happy he cried. The wife almost did too because of getting the clowns she's been wanting. The Clown and Naso were my picks. Also got the watchman to pair with the pistol and the wife really likes the purple dottyback. Next is starting to stock the SPS, I can't wait to get another check!!! Actually going to order a 4 pack tomorrow. I'll keep everyone posted with how everything goes with the sale.

Hello everyone, I just took everything a guy had in his 120 because he was moving. I only wanted his fish and corals, but I have around 100-150 lbs of live rock I'll keep alive for a little while incase someone local would want it. It's free. Also will throw in 3 new relassy lights. Also a 160gal acrylic tank if anyone wants to take it all. I probably have a few other misc things I'll throw in if someone comes to get it.
