Looking For Clean Up Crew Suggestions

Long story short -
I recently had a massive meltdown and most of my old cleanup crew has died

I have not needed to buy a clean up crew for about 10 years. I have no idea what vendor is trending now for this, or if any have great deals (maybe vendor sponsors?).

This is for a total water volume of about 200g.
Looking for a nice mixture. Less crabs and more snails. Maybe some emerald crabs, cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp.

Any recommendations?

Awesome, glad to hear they are still around.
Why a bumpy ride? Is it because of the variance of possible vendors or because clean up crews are something debated now?

It’s kinda hard to tell what you’re looking for since cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp aren’t generally considered clean up crew material but they definitely help eat what your fish don’t to some extent. But your best bet is a mix of species of hermit crabs, nassarius snails, astera snails, maybe a conch or 2, cerith snails, margarita snails, trochus snails, nerite snails etc. copepods are also your best friend but I’m sure your tank has already Got a established population if it’s been running for a while.

Your best bet online would prob be world wide corals, live aquaris or algae barn. eBay is also a great place

I actually live a little over an hour or so from WWC. Can always just make a trip there i guess.

I suppose you are correct. By default i always consider any of the shrimp i have cleanup crew, but understand that may not be the norm.
The last shrimp i got were from reefapalooza in Orlando. Amazingly healthy fire and cleaner shrimp, and if i remember correctly it was like $20 or less for each. Doubt a deal like that exists any more.

I think my current cleanup crew is 10,000 bristleworms...but seriously, turbo likes hair algae, trochus good on rocks and glass, fighting conch does gravel/sand...my blue leg hermits are still tiny so still on good behavior

Would recommend also reef cleaners, their variety and free shipping on $75+ on most livestock is unbeatable.

Another plug for ReefCleaners . I’ve been using them for 2 years now. Good selection and their preselected bundles or each tank size work out great.
