As the title says, I'm trying to find a good gyre style pump that supports low GPH operation. I recently got the Jaebo 2024 ECP-70M but it's minimum speed is still far too powerful for what I need.

I'm looking at the Orbit 2 but it's expensive and doesn't have a GPH range listed so I'm not sure how low it can go.

Would love to hear other people's thoughts on this!

Thanks!

I got the epc70m too.
A little on the strong side.
What is your tank size ? 24inch ? 36inch ?

Here 24x24x18.
If you aim straight on surface it's really strong try to tilt a little down.
Shoot mide glass.

I just order 2x 50m.
But will still use the 70m

Yeah I tried configuring it in various ways but it was always just too powerful for my tank, a WB3620 which is 35" long. It didn't pair well with the flow of my MP10 either.

I saw that the ECP50M had even higher minimum GPH so that's why I went with the 70M.

Again, I'm looking at the Orbit 2 but don't want to waste money on something that's going to give me the same result.

You do know that you can run the Orbit 2 with just 1 side and cover off the other side. I've got one in a WB20 nearly at the surface on the back and an MP10 on the side but nearly half way down the tank. They compliment each other nicely.

Hm - I'm not sure I would run one side with the cover but maybe that could help. I'm trying to achieve something fairly specific, which is to get some crossflow against my MP10, so my anemone tentacles can get blown upwards to the back wall, right now they're so long it's limiting some placement options.

I'm really leaning to the Orbit 2 despite the price because I enjoy AI products and I at least know the control software is easy to use. I have a Nero 3 right now as well.

Might just go for the Orbit 2.

Just wanted to update for anyone interested. I've had the XF330 setup for ~2 days now and it seems to be working nicely. Still toying with placement but it definitely can operate at low speed for those who need that lower flow.

The version I bought didn't have wifi, so using the controller is a bit of a pain and obviously doesn't really allow me to make much of a schedule, but that wasn't a huge concern as the alternating gyre is fine combined with my my MP10 that has a bunch of flow variance.
