I am moving the mangroves to another smaller tank. When I pull them up they took the entire sandbed and rockworth with them!!

Just look at these roots.

How long did these take to grow in your tank?
I got them as little nodes/sticks with no leaves or roots! I think its been about 1.5 years now? With the correct lighting and daily misting they actually are not that hard to keep.

I think they should only be in here 3-5 days. I wonder though how long they could last with no sand or rocks to attach the roots to. I think people keep them floating sometimes, so I imagine they could still be fine with some nutrients and strong light.
