Came by way of researching Red Sea Tank failures. Already made a post about it, just introducing myself here.

My wife and I have had 5-70 gallon fresh tanks through our history. We’ve wanted to get a Salt / Reef tank forever. We finally pulled the trigger on getting one. Not know what components we should get, we settled on the Red Sea MAX 750 G2+. It arrived with both main tank and sump tank cracked. Seems more to be shipping failure though.

But that started us looking around and we started seeing the RS failure discussion, almost all of which pointed us to here. So, .

What delivery company? I’m sorry for your loss.
R&L Carriers….. thing I hate is how you buy from a vendor, who is drop shipping from the manufacturer who hires a third company to deliver ….When damages occur it’s a “ring around the rosy” finger pointing games “who’s on first”

Added: Red Sea did pony up and sent a new sump

We had Estes as delivery. I think the damaged came from both poor packing and poor handling.

So far BRS has been great about support, but like you said, it’s kind of out of their hands and on Red Sea to replace.

We also didn’t notice the damage until we had fully unpacked the boxes, so after checking the tank walls, we signed for delivery. I’m hopping that doesn’t bite us.
