Dude!! This is awesome!!! No silicone to mess with and I can use acrylic! Might have to give this a try and see how it hold up to pressure once the sump is filled up. Worst case I just take the tripping out and go back to the siliconing route. Thanks, Chris!!

From the 2 I've seen in person they hold up really well, and say you upgrade skimmers, you can set the water level as needed instead of having to tear out and re install new baffles.

Exactly what I was thinking!! Love the flexibility (pun intended) it will provide if I want to shuffle things around in the sump [emoji4]

I stumbled across this video a few years back. Unfortunately, I had already siliconed the glass baffles.
Otherwise, I would have tried this on my little 10 gallon sump.
Post up some step by see pics if you end up trying it Yash. I'd love to see how it goes.

So the weather stripping didn't work as seamlessly as I thought. It goes on real well with no issues, but it really doesn't provide a completely air tight seal. I first cut the baffles with no groove to account for the silicone. This obviously did not work. I then tried shaving off the edges to work around the silicone. This too did not provide an air tight seal. The vertical seams are flawless and do not let any water through. It is the bottom corners that are the problem. I pushed the baffle down as hard as I could and it still wouldn't seal completely. Any more pressure and I was afraid of breaking the glass. I also tried double stripping. I attached one strip directly on the tank glass and pushed it flush against the silicone on the bottom seams. Then I installed the baffle (with its own stripping) flush against the stripping on the glass. This too did not work. After having exhausted all ideas and options, I finally gave up accepting the fact that I would see a small amount of water somehow finds its way through.
With that being said, the amount of water than leaks isn't a whole lot. It is a very slow trickle. So in the grand scheme of things, it might not affect the levels all too much. I finished up all the baffles and will probably water test it over the next few days to see how it functions. Will keep you posted.

I thought about doing that but the silicone won't adhere to the rubber stripping so there might still be a gap to seep out from.
With the double stripping I observed to water seep through the corner of the baffle and then somehow from under and over the second stripping!
